Hello! My name is Jens, and I'm a game designer with a focus on system and narrative design.
Whether is crafting game mechanics or bringing worlds and characters to life, I love creating the building blocks from which the rest of the game emerges.
Creating narratives I start out by writing the overarching rules for a world, deciding on what sets it apart from our world and which themes I want to convey to the players. I then delve into the details to give the world some humor and depth.
I am currently studying game design at PlaygroundSquad in Falun, where I have been lead designer for two game projects which you can read about here and here.
Before joining the college I had 10 years of game master experience from a myriad of tabletop roleplaying game systems.
Outside of game development I have experience from working in customer service. While it was not a career I wanted to pursue I still enjoyed it, finding it rewarding to work closely with a customer base and being a calm presence to hand them supporting guidance.
